On December 16, 2025, Elle Decoration unveiled the official selections for its annual The A-List ranking. The Lost Villa · Huanglong Island Lighthouse Hotel, a project by WJ STUDIO, was honorably selected in the Hotel Category, and has been included in the ELLE DECORATION China 2025 The A-List: China Interior & Architecture Design Annual published this year.
This year, the Annual underwent a landmark upgrade with the launch of the "International A-List", injecting brand-new standards and perspectives into this annual curation. The ranking continues to spotlight the most pioneering, fully completed interior architecture projects that have been realized across China within the year.

Sunshine Clubhouse by WJ STUDIO, was honorably selected in the Real Estate Category, and has been included in the 2024/2025 ELLE DECORATION 2024/2025 China Interior & Architecture Design Annual.
As a witness and chronicler of China’s design industry, ELLE DECORATION China is committed to inspiring critical thinking through cutting-edge creative inspiration. Since 2018, it has launched the annual China Interior & Architecture Design Annual initiative, which focuses on outstanding completed architecture and interior design projects delivered across China in the corresponding year, captures design’s response to the spirit of the times, uncovers more possibilities between people and space, and actively explores the future of Chinese design.
On October 16, 2024, Mr. Hu Zhile was invited to attend "Andrew Martin City Tour · Chongqing Station" and delivered a speech titled Regeneration - Renovation Design from a Multi-Dimensional Perspective.
"Renovation is a process of gradual replacement. During this replacement, there is no need to redefine people's usage habits, but ultimately, it can create new ways of use and value. That is to say, through renovation and iteration, the vitality of the city can be re-stimulated, enabling renovation to move from design to design control. Renovated old buildings are not limited to the scope of interior design renewal; they are an important part of composing the city's memory and image. Similarly, design cannot cover all spaces and ecosystems. What is more important is how to identify the potential of a site through design and reawaken the site."
On August 15, 2024, Hurun Shan, a subsidiary of Hurun Report, and ARENA jointly released the 2023-2024 “China Top Design List”.
Selected through various angles such as commercial, artistic and theoretical, WJ STUDIO's Boatyard Hotel was honored to be selected as one of the TOP 50 design works of the year.
On July 8, 2024, the World Architecture Festival (WAF) announced the shortlist for 2024.
WJ STUDIO Huanglong Island Hotel has been shortlisted for WAF 2024 in the Future Projects - Leisure-led Development category, and was invited to participate in the WAF Annual Ceremony in Singapore and on-site presentation on November 6-8, to compete for the final award with the design teams from all over the world.
On the evening of April 30, 2024, the much-anticipated 20th Hospitality Design (HD) Awards ceremony was successfully concluded. The Boatyard Hotel, designed by WJ STUDIO and goa, won the WINNER in the category of “Small Hotel” among the outstanding entries from all over the world!
Organized annually by Hospitaliy Design, the leading magazine in the international hotel design industry, the HD Awards have been successfully held for 20 years and are the most prestigious awards in the hotel design industry. This year's HD Awards received nearly 930 project entries, and finally 28 projects won the awards, of which only 3 were Chinese projects. Boatyard Hotel is honored to win one of the awards, thanks to the recognition and support of the organizers, commissioners and partners.
