On April 25th, 2024, “Discovery of Good Design - Design Tour” - Hangzhou Station was successfully held, and Mr. Hu Zhile, Founder/Design Director of WJ STUDIO, was invited to participate in the event as a guest of honor.
“Discovery of Good Design” is promoted by the annual winners and selected designers of ANDREW MARTIN International Interior Design Awards in China and abroad, together with artists, media and international brands, to discover China's outstanding contemporary interior designers from an international perspective, and each event invites outstanding designers to share their views and concepts, and conduct on-site exchanges and discussions.
On March 28th, 2024, WJ STUDIO Founder & Design Director Mr. Hu Zhile was invited to attend the forum of "HOTEL & SHOP PLUS" in Shanghai, and gave a speech on the topic of "Experience + Regeneration".
In his speech, Mr. Hu used Boatyard Hotel, Ansan Hotel and Yingyuan Hotel as case studies to share his thoughts on "how to make completed buildings live with nature for a longer period of time".
On March 14th, LIV Hospitality Design Awards announced the final list of winners for the 2023 awards, and WJ STUDIO's "Ansan Hotel" and "Boatyard Hotel" were awarded the Winner of this year's Economy Hotel and Boutique Hotel categories respectively.
The LIV Hospitality Design Awards recognizes excellence in hotel architecture, interior design and guest experience around the world, and its mission is to celebrate the diversity of quality architecture and interior design projects in the global hospitality industry.
WJ STUDIO "Boatyard Hotel" was honored to be selected in the hotel category and included in the book "2023 China Interior Design Annual", which will be published this year.
Since 2005, "China Interior Design Annual" has served as a faithful recorder and witness of the development of China's interior design industry, and has been the centralized display of the highest design standards in China's interior design industry.
In January 2024, the award ceremony of "the 20th Aniversary China Interior Design Annual Cover Person Award" hosted by Interior Design China was held in Beijing, and Mr. Hu Zhile, Founder & Design Director of WJ STUDIO, was honored to be selected as this year's cover character.
Initiated by Interior Design China in 2005, the "China Interior Design Annual Cover Person Award" has been successfully held for 20 times, and is an important wind vane that leads the development of interior design.
In December, ELLE DECORATION unveiled the list of 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Awards.
WJ STUDIO's project "Boatyard Hotel" was honored to be the winning project of this year's hotel category and was included in 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual .
As a witness and recorder of Chinese design, ELLE DECORATION China launched its annual special issue ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual in 2018, which included more than 100 outstanding interior design works of that year, and awarded ELLE DECORATION CHINA INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS, now in its sixth year.
