The renovation and renewal of WJ STUDIO's office are subtly and gracefully integrated into the context while maintaining its own unique identity.

The new studio retains the original structure of the building and some of its walls without following the old rules and rationale of conventional office space access and openness. The floor lights and steps at the site's entrance guide the building, and the facade is made of fair-faced concrete and metal panels as the primary materials, which overlap with the warm colours of the lights and the colours of the surrounding plants to portray the entrance scene.

The wood panelling, benches, partition curtains, exposed structure with de-ceiling treatment, graffiti style and abstract artworks used to decorate the walls, and the staggered sequence of interior spaces, all attempt to break the calmness under the exterior of the space and convey the passion for life.

The entrance on the first floor forms a transition space from outdoor to indoor through the semi-outdoor wall and structure, visually forming a rich hierarchy and leading the surrounding nature and quiet atmosphere to the interior. On the second floor, the windows and balconies are more extensive, providing a view between the inside and the outside. Standing in the model area on the second floor and looking out, the windows serve as a framing effect, and the greenery is a visual extension.

Similar to the strong emotions created by the material and colour contrast of fabric and concrete, these emotions are hidden in the details, presenting a calm and restrained interior effect, yet extremely tense in the details.

The renovation of WJ Studio's office emphasizes the introduction of nature into the building and the liveliness of the studio. In addition to enhancing the office experience, it is more like a test of the boundary between workspace and living space, which are interspersed and combined.
