On the evening of April 30, 2024, the much-anticipated 20th Hospitality Design (HD) Awards ceremony was successfully concluded. The Boatyard Hotel, designed by WJ STUDIO and goa, won the WINNER in the category of “Small Hotel” among the outstanding entries from all over the world!
Organized annually by Hospitaliy Design, the leading magazine in the international hotel design industry, the HD Awards have been successfully held for 20 years and are the most prestigious awards in the hotel design industry. This year's HD Awards received nearly 930 project entries, and finally 28 projects won the awards, of which only 3 were Chinese projects. Boatyard Hotel is honored to win one of the awards, thanks to the recognition and support of the organizers, commissioners and partners.
On March 14th, LIV Hospitality Design Awards announced the final list of winners for the 2023 awards, and WJ STUDIO's "Ansan Hotel" and "Boatyard Hotel" were awarded the Winner of this year's Economy Hotel and Boutique Hotel categories respectively.
The LIV Hospitality Design Awards recognizes excellence in hotel architecture, interior design and guest experience around the world, and its mission is to celebrate the diversity of quality architecture and interior design projects in the global hospitality industry.
WJ STUDIO "Boatyard Hotel" was honored to be selected in the hotel category and included in the book "2023 China Interior Design Annual", which will be published this year.
Since 2005, "China Interior Design Annual" has served as a faithful recorder and witness of the development of China's interior design industry, and has been the centralized display of the highest design standards in China's interior design industry.
In December, ELLE DECORATION unveiled the list of 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Awards.
WJ STUDIO's project "Boatyard Hotel" was honored to be the winning project of this year's hotel category and was included in 2023/2024 ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual .
As a witness and recorder of Chinese design, ELLE DECORATION China launched its annual special issue ELLE DECORATION China Interior Architecture Design Annual in 2018, which included more than 100 outstanding interior design works of that year, and awarded ELLE DECORATION CHINA INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS, now in its sixth year.
In December, Archilovers, a famous Italian design website, announced #Bestarchilovers2023.
WJ STUDIO's Ansan Hotel and Boatyard Hotel were loved by many designer readers and selected as the most popular projects among 50,000 projects released this year.
From 29th November to 1st December, Mr. Hu Zhile, Founder/Design Director of WJ Studio, was invited to participate in WAF World Architecture Festival/INSIDE World Festival of Interiors in Singapore, and gave a live presentation and defense of the shortlisted project, "Boatyard Hotel".
In the competition, the project Boatyard Hotel finally won the Highly Commended award in the Interior Design - Hotel category.
